
Comp System: All armies start out at 10 (Maximum of 10)
This system is meant to give the players some idea of their army composition. However, the final say is with the judges, who can adjust the score based on their own opinions. Our desire is that the players will get an understanding of where their army list is ranked before sending in their list. The judges have the final say on the scores.
General Comp hits:
Banners:
-1 for having less than two banners
+1 for having two non-magical banners
on CORE infantry
Magic V1.1:
-1 for every 2 Power Dice (PD) or equivalent over 7
Power Stones= 1 PD each
Bound (3 or less) Spells= 1 PD each
Bound (4 or more) Spells= 2 PD each
-1 for every 2 Dispel Dice (DD) or equivalent over 7.
Procedure: Add all of your dice from your choices, add all dispel scrolls and items that act like dispel scrolls together using the chart below. This number is your total for penalty. Basically the 9h and 11th dispel dice equivalent are penalized.
So for example if you have a Dwarf army with a Runesmith, and Runelord, you have 4 for the army, 2 for the Runelord, 1 for the Runesmith, and a spellbreaking rune. That is an equivalent of 8 dispel dice and therefore a -1.
Another example would be two level one mages with three scrolls. 4 dice, plus 2 dice for the first two scrolls and then 2 more dice for the third scroll would be a -1 composition.
Dispel Chart:
Dispel Scrolls= 1 DD each
Third Dispel Scrol, cumulative as the fourth scroll would also count=2 each
Staff of Sorcery= 1 DD
Any number of units with MR2 or better= 1 DD total
+1 No Magic defense of any type, only the basic 2DD
*Special Rule: Capping
No matter how nasty the creature
and combination of rider and mount, the maximum penalty is -3. They can only
be at one place at a time. That includes the penalties for terror, various magic
items, etc. This does NOT include penalties for magic and for
items that add or subtract magic dice.
Empire V1.6
*Archlector counts as 2 casting dice; War Altar counts as 2 casting dice, Warrior Priest counts for one power/dispel dice, Ring of Volans counts as one dice, Seal of Destruction counts as a dispel scrolls, the Rod of Power counts as a single casting dice and a single dispel dice.
